As a professional truck driver, Rob was concerned at the number of incidents that occurred during a typical driver’s work day. In most cases where a truck driver is involved in a traffic incident, the blame is always leveled at the “truckie”. Recently there has been numerous stories on tabloid TV that depicts the truckie as the villain. Rob has been trying for many years to get a system for trucks, that “watches the road” and captures everything on video. Up until recently this has been a complicated and expensive exercise. But at Watch The Road we have developed an inexpensive system that does the job. We already have a number of these units installed, and we have captured many traffic incident that show what can happen to a truck and its driver.
